Game Updated - preparing for Steam demo release


Updated the game in several small ways, in anticipation for being able to release the demo on Steam.

  1. General bug fixes - A lot of small bugs. A bunch of textures updated. Most importantly saves and settings are not in the %appdata%, which should alleviate issue some people were having where the game is not permitted by the operating system to save game progression. Also the crash that occurs on level 9 and 10 after playing level 8. The piece shadow "not being in the correct position sometimes" is not fixed because I haven't gotten around to it yet. Also the error on level 10 where the pips get stuck. These are next on the priority list.
  2. A few dialogue adjustments - previous updates also had them, but I'm only mentioning that in this post just to confirm that you're not crazy.
  3. Added a small cutscene after beating level 10 - and also removed the bit that says "hey yeah i didnt add a cutscene after beating level 10 yet".
  4. Added an option to delete the save file - not particularly useful, I just consider this a decorative option. kind of like when they have a stupid flavor at the ice cream store. I'm not sure which flavor that is, but you get the point.

I'm sure there's some other things that I forgot about, but that hardly matters. Next up on the features list is setting up multiplayer and custom matches. Custom matches feature was actually done ages ago but the menus for it are half-baked and I had priorities on other features. And for multiplayer I was building the whole system around already so it shouldn't be too much of a pain.

Steam release should be sometime this week.
